Sprenger Stainless Steel Full Cheek double jointed snaffle with lozenge is a bit often associated with younger horses still finding their balance as the bit does not pull through the mouth under extreme turn conditions. This full cheek snaffle is also used on horses doing showjumping or eventing that may find themselves executing tight turns under competition conditions as it can assist the rider turn the horses head to engage concentration on the obstacle that needs jumping. The double joint with lozenge removes the nut cracker action associate with traditional snaffle design and that can be a major benefit in maintaining the horses co-operation due the improved comfort the design provides for the horse..
Bits with fixed cheeks should fit closely to both mouth corners and must therefore be chosen smaller than loose ring snaffles. - Side parts prevent the bit from being pulled through the mouth.
