Need a lighter forehand? Heavy on the forehand or possibly inclined to snatch and pull you out of the saddle?
The loose ring is more flexible, discouraging the horse from leaning, which may happen with a fixed cheek. The two rein options will allow the rider to have varying degrees of control being able to differentiate between the snaffle rein and the running cheek rein that provides poll pressure.
However, many riders successfully only employ the running cheek rein which maximises on control and lift from the shoulder. Use either in conjunction with our own rolled leather cheeks, aesthetically pleasing and softer in their action, or our rope cheeks that have a faster action.
- Neue Schule bits are made with Neue Schule Salox® Gold which is a high copper alloy used for its high thermal conductivity and anti-tarnishing properties; Salox® Gold quickly reaches body temperature and so encourages relaxation and acceptance of the bit.
- Often sourced for strong horses or those with a tendency to lean or pull down.
- The loose ring discourages locking on.
- The comfortable mouthpiece discourages over-bending or a head toss when you take a pull.
- As the poll is employed a wide, padded headpiece is recommended.
- Not dressage legal.
- Mouthpiece Thickness: 16 mm
