The combination of the hanging cheek together with a deep port means that as the rein is taken up the port rolls forwards and downwards onto the tongue, but due to the design this still allows plenty of space for the tongue to sit below the mouth piece without impingement and the action comes onto the pressure comes onto the bars of the mouth earlier. There is a misconception that a hanging cheek has an action on the poll and it is important to note having a hanging cheek does not act on the poll due to the geometry involved.  

• A level 2 – level 3 mouthpiece.
• Stainless steel solid curved mouthpiece with a slightly narrower port and a with centre barrel which is designed to contact with the edges of the tongue as a gentle reminder but allowing good tongue relief without causing any palate pressure. The main action is on the bars and lips of the horses mouth.
• Gives lots of tongue room for horses with fine jaw line profiles.
• Does not collapse but will roll down onto the tongue when horses head is too far forward or above the bit.
• Often found to be good for strong, keen horses who tend to put his head out in front as a result of pushing the head forwards to escape the contact.
