The Myler MB33 Ported Barrel  Eggbutt with Hooks has quite a lot going for it in terms of versatility.
It can be used with the rein attached to the eggbutt side ring, or the rein can be transferred onto the hook positions that are preset within the side rings to provide some leverage and mild poll pressure. In addition to this, a curb strap can be added to the bit so that additional pressure can be added to the jaw line so that the overall pressure is distributed and the action of the bit is designed to lower the head and neck and encourage the horse to seek a contact while there is also lots of tongue relief going on,
A very useful bit for big strong horses who tend to disrespect the hand and take the rider on, so often tongue relief is required and the horse begins fighting the rider to escape the lack of tongue relief but then it remains a habit that needs to be broken with a bit that calls for more mannerly behaviour and this Myler level 2-3 bit is an excellent addition to your riding bit toolbox to make the horse listen and start complying..
Large 1½ inch port with no collapse giving a high level of tongue relief.
Independent Side Movement.
Direct action bit, again no collapse.
Full tongue relief, acts on top of bars of the horses mouth.
This is great for the really well-mannered, finished horse, which is working well off all aids.
