MB06 Myler Low Port Mullen Barrel Eggbutt With Hooks

MB06 Myler Low Port Mullen Barrel Eggbutt (With Hooks) is a non-collapsing bit with a 19mm  (three quarter inch) port and independent side movement. The design removes any wrapping action when the reins are acted upon and the bit gives more “feel” directly onto the lips and bars of the horses mouth. Any command delivered through the rein is received a little quicker by the horse. This bit is suited to horses who react better to a solid-action, and a non-collapsing bit action.

The bit can be used with or without using the hooks but the hooks provide the rider with more scope to experiment with rein action by fixing the rein to the hooks which brings a little more leverage and some degree of poll pressure, the addition of a curb strap under the chin allows the rider to go a step further and apply a different type of pressure when the hooks are used if the horse is particularly strong or the rider needs the extra help for control. Especially useful for riders who have hand grip or wrist problems or for smaller riders on big horses.
