Firstly, disconnect the clipper from the power sourceÂ

Fit the bottom blade, ensuring the two holes are fitting over the comb pegs and pinsÂ
Insert the tension bolt through the central holeÂ
Fit the tension spring over the tension bolt and screw the tension nut down as far as it will comfortably goÂ
Set the tension using the marker on the tension nut as a guide, turn the tension nut back 1 ½ turnsÂ
How do I set the tension?Â
Fit the tension spring over the tension bolt and screw the tension nut down as far as it will comfortably goÂ

How and how often should I oil the blades?Â
Before oiling, brush any excess hair from the blades, clipper head and clipperÂ
When in use, we recommend oiling the blades every 5-10 minutes, using Lister R15 Clipper OilÂ
NOTE: Oil between the cutter points, the surfaces between the clipper head and top blade, the cutter blade guide channel and heel of the cutter blade from both sides or via the two holes and the crank shaft and roller, via the central hole. Frequent oiling will help keep to the blades running smoothly by reducing friction and heat.Â

Remove the blades from the clipper head and wipe them clean with a soft clothÂ
Oil the blades and wrap them in a clean, soft clothÂ
The clipper and blades should always be stored in a clean, dry and safe place (inside the house ideally)Â
It is also particularly important to keep the plug and clipper cable clean, dry and in good working orderÂ
How do I remove and clean the filter?Â
Slide the filter out of the filter socket on the clipperÂ
Hold the filter up to the light to check the mesh for blockagesÂ
Wash away any dirt and debris, ensuring the filter is clean and dry before refitting to the clipperÂ
NOTE: The filter should be removed and cleaned after every clip.Â

The reset button is located at the back of the clipper, under the cable grommetÂ
To reset the clipper, use the bottom end of brush to press the reset button in (see below)Â
