The Legend Clipper is a Heavy Duty Mains Powered Clipper
Heavy duty clippers are suitable for professional users or those that have to clip multiple animals regularly.

Designed for durability, heavy duty clippers are favoured for their ability to cut through particularly coarse or difficult hair without wavering under pressure. The clippers will tend to incorporate more powerful motors designed for regular heavy work, making them well suited to a multitude of applications and coat types.

However, due to the power and drive needed, some models can be heavier to handle and manoeuvre, so its important to consider balance in the hand and compare weights.
Clippers in this category take conventional, full-width blades which need to be tensioned to set the cutting pressure.

Unfortunately there is no one size fits all blade available that will cut to everyone’s liking, and blades need to be acquired according to the finish you desire on your horse or pony. 

A Series Blades

A2SS/AC (Super Surgical) Blade
Designed to leave almost no hair on the horse.

• 75mm wide, 35 teeth
• Leaves 0.5mm of hair

The A2S/AC Surgical blade clips very close to the skin of the animal to aid in surgical preparation, and is suitable for use with the Star, Liberty, Legend and Fusion clippers.

A2C/AC (Close) Blade
Ideal for a close cut, allowing more time for hair to grow in between clips.

A2F/AC (Fine) Blade
Ideal for clipping horses closely, clipping the head and stomachs of cattle and slick shearing sheep.

A2/AC (Medium) Blade

The A2/AC Medium blade leaves more hair on the animal than a fine blade and is ideal for general grooming. This blade is designed for use with the Star, Liberty, Legend and Fusion clippers.

CA2/AC (Coarse) Blade
Ideal for clipping dirty, muddy horses/ponies

Strong, durable teeth make the CA2/AC the blade of choice when grooming dirty, muddy animals. This blade is suitable for use with the Star, Liberty, Legend and Fusion clippers.

• Leaves 2.5mm of hair

Covercote Blade
Ideal for clipping areas on the animal that need extra protection such as the legs, as the blade leaves a longer coat where necessary. The Covercote blade is a popular choice for horses transitioning between the seasons as it cuts off the excess length but still maintains the appearance of a smart coat.
This blade is also recommended for horses with Cushings disease as it allows the long hair to be clipped but means the remaining hair can be brushed over to protect the skin, giving a fine look finish.

A2H/AC (Lifter) Blade 13mm
Ideal for when a coat needs tidying but a good covering of hair is required. When a coat needs tidying but still requires a good covering of hair, the Lister A2H/AC Lifter blade makes it easy to clip carefully. This blade fits to all other A series blades and is suitable for use with the Star, Liberty Lithium but for heavy duty clippers such as the Legend and Fusion, we recommend using Lister blades with a metal socket only.
