Lunging is an important part of the training program and allows the horse to work without the responsibiity of rebalancing for its rider.

These leather side reins with elastic insert help encourage the horse to stretch forward and down during lunging and prevent the horse being fixed in a position on the circle.

Having the elastic inserts helps to stop the horses head being fixed into any given position so that it has the freedom to move without damaging the mouth.

A cautionery note is that side reins should never be over tightened, and always wear gloves to prevent lunge line burns.
