Bombers Bits Half Twisted Wire Barrie Full Cheek Bit

The Half Twisted Wire Barrie Full Cheek is a severe bit due to the centre links of the two pieces being offset by 20mm giving it a double nutcracker action, which creates more tongue and bar pressure.Good for strong older horses.

The twisted wire creates more pressure points on the bars and as a result, makes it a stronger bit.

The Fulmer, or commonly known as the Full Cheek cheek piece, will have the same effect as the traditional Eggbutt in so much as, it will block pinching on the sides of the mouth, however, the elongated pins above and below the bit, firstly prevent the bit being pulled through the mouth and secondly have the effect of guiding the horses head which is excellent for schooling and training objectives.

Additionally, all bomber bits are made from blue sweet iron, because it:

• Oxidises easily
• Encourages salivation
• Helps bit acceptance
• Is warm and sweet

Please note the blue will fade with use.
