Bombers Bits Elliptical Full Cheek Bit

The Elliptical Full Cheek is a 45 mm lozenge, it is stronger than the Control Plate due to it having a smaller surface area. Consequently, a horse using his tongue as a means of pushing against the bit and therefore taking charge, will draw back and tuck his chin in, coming back to a better point of control.

The Fulmer, or commonly known as the Full Cheek cheek piece, will have the same effect as the traditional Eggbutt. As a result, it will prevent pinching on the sides of the mouth.

However the elongated pins above and below the bit, firstly stop the bit being pulled through the mouth and secondly have the effect of guiding the horses head which is great for schooling and training objectives.

The Twisted Wire Buster Roller 2.5 Ring by Bombers Bit is a fabulous bit for schooling.

The link in the middle is shortened to 40mm increasing bar and tongue pressure making the bit sharper than conventional link bits. Hence, the increased pressure on the bar will lift the head and the roller will intensify pressure on the tongue tucking the chin in.

Best suited for a horse with a low head carriage and which leans on the bit. As a result, the twisted wire produces more pressure points on the bars making it a stronger bit.

A Ring cheek piece introduces poll pressure as well creating leverage on the mouthpiece. As a result, the 2 ½ ring version is the softest version of ring bit. The ½ ring softens the leverage on the mouthpiece and poll.

Additionally, all bomber bits are made from blue sweet iron, because it:

• Oxidises easily.
• Stimulates salivation.
• Helps bit acceptance.
• Is warm and sweet.
