Bombers Bits BC45 Full Cheek Bit

The Bombers Control Plate (BC45 Full Cheek) is set at 45° to follow the contour of the horse’s tongue. Consequently, a horse who uses his tongue as a means of pushing against the bit and therefore taking control, will draw back and tuck his chin in, coming back to a better point of control.

This differs from a Dr. Bristol which sits horizontally with the edge of the plate on the tongue.

The Fulmer, or commonly known as the Full Cheek cheek piece, will have the same effect as the traditional Eggbutt in so much as, it will stop pinching on the sides of the mouth.

However, the elongated pins above and below the bit, firstly prevent the bit being pulled through the mouth and secondly have the effect of guiding the horses head which is great for schooling and training objectives.

All Bombers bits are made from blue sweet iron because it:

• Oxidises easily
• Stimulates salivation
• Helps bit acceptance
• Is warm and sweet

Please note the blue will fade with use.
